Comment On Lloyds Changes To ‘Interest Only’ Mortgages

News that Lloyds Banking Group have decided to drop ‘Interest only’ mortgages for loans over £500,000 is of no concern to top agents.

The market that Knightsbridge agents W.A. Ellis operates in is almost exclusively over half a million pounds. They sell homes to and for City types, some highly geared and mortgages of over £500,000 are not unusual. 

The Danger To Unwary Landlords

Letting Agent and Authority Lucy Morton of W.A. Ellis, President of ARLA, the Lettings industry trade body, is concerned that Landlords may be getting confusing and conflicting advice from Agents. "The market is very hard for some agents to call as rents have risen sharply over the last couple of months" says Mrs Morton who has been in the central London Lettings business for over 25 years.
